Onsen (hot spring) : |
 |
|
Hot water gushes out of the scenic mountains of Ibusuki
and flows into the sea. It is then sourced for hot springs and
sand baths.
Here the hot springs contains qualities of sodium chloride.
This water, thought to be warmed sea water, is different from
underground sea water in term of its compounds. It is rich in
sodium ions which help relieve symptoms like neuralgia, cuts,
burns, chronic skin disease, etc. Because of the numerous health
benefits, hot springs in Japan have attracted numerous tourists
for a long, long time. You will feel a sense of comfort and
well being after bathing as your warm body temperature prevents
feeling chilled afterwards. |
